Who I am
Ember Seren is a small, UK-based creative business run by one person (Ember). I am not VAT registered. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach me at emberseren.shop@gmail.com.
What I collect, and why
Contact form. If you use the contact form on this site, I collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. This is sent to me via Netlify Forms (the hosting provider for this website) so I can reply to you. I don't use this information for anything else, and I don't add you to any mailing list unless you separately ask me to.
Payments. Shop payments on this website are processed through Snipcart, with Stripe handling card payments. I do not receive or store your full card details. PayPal may be used separately for bespoke or previously agreed orders, in which case PayPal handles the payment information under its own privacy policy.
Etsy and Amazon. If you buy through Etsy or Amazon, your data is handled under their respective privacy policies, not this one, since the purchase happens on their platforms.
Cookies and advertising measurement. Essential site and checkout technology may use cookies needed for the website to function. Ember Seren also uses the Meta Pixel to understand website activity and measure the effectiveness of Facebook and Instagram marketing. The Meta Pixel is only loaded after you choose to accept optional cookies. You can reject optional cookies or change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
How long I keep it
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterwards for my own records, then deleted. You can ask me to delete your message and details at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, and object to how it's used. To do any of this, just email me at the address above and I'll sort it directly.
Changes to this policy
If anything here changes - for example, if I start using analytics or a mailing list - I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
